With the 2026 NFL Draft wrapped up, the attention has shifted to the 2027 draft. The 2027 offensive line group as a whole is shaping up to be strong. That said, the offensive tackles are looking promising early.
This group features multiple franchise offensive tackles, tackles who could be an impact player, and transfers who could break out this fall. However, rankings will change significantly leading up to next April.
Here are the current top 10 offensive tackles.
1. Carter Smith (Indiana) (6-foot-5, 308 pounds)
Smith returns for his fifth season after allowing single-digit pressures in 2025. He’s technically sound with experience, elite football IQ, reliability, and leadership. He’s explosive off the snap with a strong initial punch and the ability to win with leverage at all phases. As of now, he’s the sure-fire top tackle in the class with NFL high-end upside.
2. Trevor Goosby (Texas) (6-foot-7, 312 pounds)
Goosby came on strong, starting his first full season for the Longhorns. He’s athletic and fluid while utilizing his length to win on the edge and at the point of attack. The impressive tackle brings day one starting ability at the next level.
3. Cayden Green (Missouri) (6-foot-5, 324 pounds)
Green pops off on paper due to his positional versatility to play either guard or tackle. He’s consistent in pass protection, allowing very few pressures in his career and bringing a strong anchor. Overall, his power, physcality, and scheme flexibility boost his stock.
4. Andrew Sprague (Michigan) (6-foot-8, 315 pounds)
Sprague brings a prototypical NFL tackle frame and elite length to control pass rushers effectively off the edge. He displays a strong anchor, with very good lower-body and core strength, and the ability to finish blocks.
5. Austin Siereveld (Ohio State) (6-foot-5, 325 pounds)
Siereveld is a thick, powerful, and intelligent lineman known for his versatility across four positions. He displays very good initial quickness in his pass sets, along with a strong punch and hand timing to stun defenders. His communication and intelligence pop off the charts.
6. Jordan Seaton (LSU) (6-foot-5, 330 pounds)
Seaton is a well-known name transferring to LSU from Colorado. He’s already experienced and very good at pass protection within all phases. He’s twitchy with quick hands and feet, and pass-protection prowess. That said, his run blocking ability and potential hold him back.
7. Trevor Lauck (Iowa) (6-foot-5, 310 pounds)
Iowa’s offensive line factory continues producing as Lauck will be the next product to come out. Lauck is technically proficient and reliable, though not as physically dominant as some in this class at the moment. He’s a safe selection for an organization valuing fundamentals and development in a pro-style system.
8. Blake Frazier (Michigan) (6-foot-6, 295 pounds)
Frazier is young, athletic, with high upside for Michigan. He possesses the ideal frame with good lower-body mechanics and physcality at the point of attack. He’s currently viewed as a developmental prospect heading into the 2026 season, but a strong campaign could change that.
9. Niki Prongos (Stanford) (6-foot-7, 310 pounds)
Prongos has one of the most unconventional paths in college football. A multi-sport athlete (basketball, baseball — including time on Lithuania’s national baseball team), he walked on at UCLA as a 0-star recruit after limited high school reps. He redshirted, played sparingly, then broke out with starts at multiple spots in 2024 before transferring to Stanford in 2025. His pass-blocking is already top-tier, but his run-blocking needs development.
10. Jacob Ponton (Texas Tech) (6-foot-8, 305 pounds)
Ponton is another tackle prospect with the elite-level frame and muscle. He’s had early production with high upside at the next level. Continued physical development and technical refinement under the coaching staff could make him one of the bigger risers in the 2027 class.
