Deebo Samuel has two potential teams after Jauan Jennings’ deal

The final dominoes of NFL free agency continue to fall. The Minnesota Vikings signed Jauan Jennings, and the wide receiver market is drying up.

There aren’t many options available for teams looking to add proven pass catchers to their ranks.

Likewise, guys like Deebo Samuel are also running out of potential destinations for the upcoming campaign.

Considering that, Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report argued that he might be down to two teams: the Chicago Bears or the Los Angeles Chargers.

Deebo Samuel could join Los Angeles Chargers or Chicago Bears

Samuel has a direct line to Los Angeles. The Chargers hired Mike McDaniel as their new offensive coordinator, and he had his best season under his guidance in San Francisco.

“McDaniel is now the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive coordinator and could have an idea or two on how to use him. That’s not to say the 30-year-old Samuel will replicate those 2021 numbers, but McDaniel could be the spark leading to a productive season,” Kasabian explained.

As for the Bears, they’re already pretty stacked, but the fact that Ben Johnson’s team added even more pass-catchers to the mix in the 2026 NFL Draft shows they might not be entirely satisfied with their offense.

“Adding Samuel could be another chess piece for ascending quarterback (and Captain Clutch) Caleb Williams to use as the Bears search for their second Super Bowl,” Kasabian argued.

Samuel is no longer the hybrid superstar he once was. Injuries and Father Time have taken their toll on him.

Nevertheless, he’s coming off a pretty solid decent season for a team that didn’t have their starting quarterback for most of the campaign, and — more importantly — he proved he can stay healthy.
