Happy 26th birthday to Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Michael Penix Jr.!

After playing his college football at Indiana (before it was cool) and Washington and leading the Huskies to the 2023-24 College Football Playoff title game against the Michigan Wolverines. Despite a tough showing on that stage, the Atlanta Falcons surprised many when they took Penix Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft after signing veteran Kirk Cousins to a four-year contract that same offseason.

Penix would start his rookie season behind Cousins, but a downturn in the veteran’s production that season gave Penix his first shot as a starter. In his first NFL start, Penix Jr. completed 18-of-27 passes for 202 yards and an interception, but the Falcons beat the Giants 34-7.

While Penix has dealt with injury and production issues of his own over 12 career starts in two seasons, he’ll get a reset this year with a new head coach in Kevin Stefanski.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the most recent quarterbacks to win in their NFL debut for each franchise can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
