Sunday’s NTT IndyCar Series Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix was postponed to Monday at 3 p.m. ET after inclement weather plagued the event all afternoon.

Rain pushed back the start of the race, which was scheduled to go green immediately following Fox’s coverage of the World Cup Final. While the skies over Lebanon, Tennessee, did eventually clear and track drying operations commenced, the skies opened back up shortly before 9 p.m. ET, forcing IndyCar to postpone the race to Monday afternoon.

Race coverage will still be on Fox and the IndyCar Radio Network at 3 p.m. ET on Monday.

Kyle Kirkwood will start on the pole for Monday’s 300-lap, 400-mile race, with defending Nashville winner Josef Newgarden joining him on the front row. Points leader Alex Palou will start fourth, with Kirkwood, who is second in the standings and trails Palou by 56 points, looking to cut into his lead.

Kirkwood was fastest in the first practice session of the weekend early Saturday morning, while David Malukas, who crashed hard in Practice 1 and briefly went to the hospital, paced final practice. Malukas will start last (25th) on Monday.

Monday’s race is the 12th of 18 in the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season.
