Happy 35th birthday to 10-time Pro Bowler, eight-time All-Pro, three-time Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl LVI champion, Aaron Donald!
Donald was selected with the 13th-overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the then-St. Louis Rams out of Pittsburgh. Donald immediately rewarded the Rams with a nine-sack season with two forced fumbles en route to his first Pro Bowl and the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
He’d go on to become perhaps the most feared pass-rusher of his generation, racking up six double-digit sack seasons and never finishing with fewer than eight in a full season. He won his first Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, when he led the NFL in both sacks (20.5) and tackles-for-loss (25).
He won his lone Super Bowl title in 2022, sacking a young Joe Burrow twice in Super Bowl LVI on the way to a 23-20 victory.
Donald called it a career after his 10th-consecutive Pro Bowl season in 2023, retiring at 32 years old with 111.0 sacks in 154 games.
