Happy 38th birthday to five-time Gold Glover, two-time All-Star, 2015 American League Cy Young winner and 2017 World Series champion, Dallas Kuechel!

Kuechel has played in 13 MLB seasons, with his most productive years coming from 2012-18 with the Houston Astros. In his Cy Young campaign, Kuechel led the American League with 20 wins, 232.0 innings and two complete-game shutouts. He struck out 216 batters and posted a 2.48 ERA in the regular season before winning two of his three postseason starts. In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, he was one of three starting pitchers to finish with an ERA of less than 2.00.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the 25 starting pitchers in MLB’s Divisional Era (since 1969) with a sub-2.00 ERA can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
