After playing in just four games for the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024-25 season, running back Christian McCaffrey was back to his workhorse ways in the Niners backfield this season.
Despite injuries wreaking havoc for San Francisco at key positions most of the year, McCaffrey was able to be a stabilizing and dependable presence for the 49ers in all 17 regular season games. CMC rushed for 1,202 yards while adding another 924 yards as a receiver and totalling 17 touchdowns. The result was his third-career 2,000+ scrimmage-yard season and his 413 touches put him at the top of the NFL also for the third time since being drafted in 2017.
If the Niners are going to eliminate the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, McCaffrey will likely have a large part in making it happen.
