Robert Kraft gets a harsh Hall of Fame verdict

Another leading New England Patriots personality has struck out from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

This time, it’s team owner Robert Kraft, who will have to wait again for a chance to be inducted into the most prestigious and exclusive circle in the sport of football. On Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Kraft has been denied entry into Canton, at least for 2026.

“Patriots owner Robert Kraft, like his former head coach Bill Belichick, was not selected for entry into this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame class, sources told ESPN. The Class of 2026 will be revealed Thursday at NFL Honors in San Francisco, but it will not include Kraft,” Schefter shared in a post on X.

Apparently, Kraft did not secure enough votes from the 50-person selection committee to get into the Hall of Fame. This development, however, doesn’t come with as much shock as the news of Belichick’s failure to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The 84-year-old Kraft was first nominated for the Hall of Fame in 2013, but it was only this year that he managed to become a finalist. Kraft can still have a reason to smile in less than a week, as he has a chance of winning another ring. His Patriots are scheduled to face off against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
