Millie Bobby Brown Switches Things Up After Spilling True Identity

The British actress recently revealed that she has dropped her last name and adopted her husband’s, over a year after the two tied the knot. 

Months ago, Brown for the first time also revealed her true name, which surprisingly isn’t Millie Bobby Brown.

Brown and her “Stranger Things” co-star, Noah Schnapp, were recently interviewed during media rounds for the final season of the award-winning sci-fi show.

As they discussed, the reporter asked Schnapp if he knew his co-star’s real name, to which he replied, “It’s Millie Bonnie Brown.” 

The 21-year-old actress attempted to correct him, but then, he corrected himself, saying, “’Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi,” but this wasn’t quite right either. 

“No, Bobby. Start again… Drop the Brown,” the “Enola Holmes” actress said during the discussion with VT.

This prompted a fit of laughter from Schnapp, who was taken aback by the humor of the moment. Brown also laughed along with him before clarifying, “Drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi.” 

This confirmed that Brown had indeed traded her last name for her husband’s. 

Brown’s hilarious interaction with Schnapp comes months after she dropped a shocking revelation about her real name. 

According to The Blast, the actress was being interviewed when she revealed that her real name is Millie Bonnie Brown, not Millie Bobby Brown, as she is widely known.

She shared a story of changing her middle name to Bobby “for sh-ts and giggles” when she first stepped foot into the film industry. However, no one else knew about her name debacle, as it was her first time revealing it. 

“I’ve never told anyone that… You heard it here first!” she quipped. As expected, the news was met with a shocking reaction from those present, including Chris Pratt, who said, “Oh Sh-t!” 

Brown’s revelation about her real name came less than a year after she said “I do” to Jake Bongiovi, the son of the music legend, Jon Bon Jovi. 

According to People Magazine, the two first sparked dating rumors in 2021, when they took a selfie together and shared it on Instagram with the caption, “bff <3.” That same month, they were photographed together holding hands in New York City, which further fueled the dating rumors. 

Five months later, on November 1, the duo made it official by posting a picture of a kiss they shared while on the London Eye. They spent their first Christmas together that year and documented the holiday with a picture that showed Brown lovingly wrapping her arms around her lover in a holiday-themed setting. 

In February 2022, the two lovers spent Brown’s birthday together. Shortly after, they made their red carpet debut at the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards, which was the first of many red carpet appearances to come. 

They got engaged in 2023 and Brown shared the news with a heartwarming picture on Instagram. Her partner later confirmed it, saying, “I don’t know if age matters. If you find the right partner and you grow together … my advice really is growing together is wise.” 

The duo secretly tied the knot in May 2024 in a very “low-key romantic affair.” They also later exchanged vows for the second time in Italy, with Brown’s “Stranger Things” co-star, Mathew Modine, officiating the ceremony. 

Over a year after getting married, Brown and Bongiovi shared exciting news about adding a baby to their family.
