Meghan King Sees Light At The End Of Custody Tunnel

Meghan King and her estranged husband have found a way around their custody issues.

The TV personality and her ex, Jim Edmonds, have laid down their arms and decided to resolve their child custody issues more amicably.

Meghan King previously lost temporary custody of her three kids after allegedly giving one of her twin sons an unprescribed ADHD medication.

The model and her ex reportedly reached an agreement following the loss of temporary custody of their kids, and now the custody hearing has been called off. Both sides have also arrived at an agreement that would favor their kids and protect their interests.

King had allegedly instructed the school nurse to administer the ADHD medication to her son, prompting the nurse to put a call through to Child Protective Services, who in turn contacted Edmonds about this development.

Edmonds reportedly flew from Tennessee, where he currently lives with his new wife, Kortnie Edmonds, to his children in Missouri.

Due to the medication episode, it was reported that King was granted supervised visits with her children twice a week as they awaited the hearing, which was slated to take place today, December 9, per Page Six.

Edmonds seemingly spent Thanksgiving together alongside his and King’s kids and his new wife. Right after that, the former baseball player threw his daughter, Aspen, a 9th birthday party in Taylor Swift style. 

As November wrapped up, the former athlete took to Instagram to give a sneak peek of the birthday party and the lavish decoration, which included pink balloons and an extravagant cake. Aspen also clutched a brand-new Labubu toy in another snapshot from the event.

King also gave her daughter a birthday shoutout on Instagram, where she described Aspen as her “favorite female to ever walk the planet.” The model gushed about her mini-me, expressing that she taught her what love truly meant.

“A spectacular gift from God was born 9 years ago today. When I learned what love is. I love you, Aspen King Edmonds. I love you to infinity. HAPPY BIRTHDAY,” the star declared.

Despite the controversial nature of her custody drama with Edmonds, the TV personality can bank on the support of her industry colleagues, who emphasized that it would be best for the public to let the family handle their issues with respect and without interference.

As reported by The Blast, last month, Emily Simpson, Shannon Beador, and Gina Kirschenheiter reiterated their support for King. Simpson removed herself from the situation by expressing her intentions not to meddle in affairs that would make people blow her words out of context.

Kirschenheiter emphasized that there was a reason why King took the issue off the air, noting that sensitive information pulled from court documents should have never made it out to begin with. Beador also agreed with the notion that one should carelessly leave comments about people’s family issues.

Several months ago, it was reported that Jim and his wife, Kortnie, filed a restraining order against the model after she reportedly constituted a nuisance at their residence. 

Edmonds’ new wife stated that King suddenly dropped by her residence, demanding to drop off a dress despite Kortnie’s insistence that she drop the dress by the door. King reportedly refused this offer and also repeatedly refused to leave the premises, with Edmonds confirming these claims as accurate.

The court document also noted that a consent order, released in June, instructed King and Edmonds to maintain a distance of at least 150 feet from one another whenever they attend events or activities involving the children.
