Detroit Lions fan Ryan Kennedy held a news conference Friday regarding what happened Dec. 21 at Ford Field when Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf grabbed him during their game against Detroit.
Kennedy, appearing alongside attorneys Shawn Head and Sean Murphy of Head Murphy Law Firm, rejected the allegations that have circulated since video of the confrontation went viral. He says he never used or directed any racial speech at Metcalf.
Kennedy claimed his family received threats since the time of the incident.
The NFL suspended Metcalf two games for the physical confrontation, but what actually was said between the two men remains disputed. Kennedy now wants Metcalf to publicly correct what he claims are false accusations.
