Hudson opened up about her relationship dynamics with her children and how it seemingly affects their standing amongst their peers.

Jackman asked her if she believes her kids think she’s cool, to which she replied, “I think my kids do think I’m cool.”

“I feel like they’re gonna kill me for saying this, but, like, Bing, my 14-year-old, and that’s like the hard age, you know, they all come to our house. They like to be at our house. That’s a good sign if they want to come hang with you,” Hudson shared.

During the inaugural Newport Beach TV Fest, Hudson opened up about how her “priority” is raising her blended family to be “one unit,” stressing how she had to make “a conscious decision” not to be away from her children for too long.

“I have three kids, and I have three different dads, and all of them tour, and I made a very conscious decision to do things that didn’t take me away from my kids for too long, on top of trying to diversify,” she explained, per People Magazine.

Hudson continued, “I like to play the long game and just do different things, so for me it was like I wasn’t getting the roles that I wanted to be playing. The ones that I did, I would make some hard decisions, and if it took me away for too long, I just couldn’t do it because I had to be with my kids, and I wanted to make sure that I was the center of my kids’ universe and that we had one unit.”

The “Shell” actress added that it includes her “going to my exes’ tours and being very consciously uncoupled with everybody, and so that was my priority.”
