Representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially addressed the couple’s split, weeks after it was revealed they had separated.

In a joint statement, they revealed that while the romantic chapter of their relationship has come to an end, their focus remains on co-parenting their daughter.

Previous reports noted that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s split was “amicable,” which the statement from the reps seemed to confirm.

After weeks of silence surrounding the rumored split between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, reps for the couple have confirmed that the separation has indeed happened.

In a joint statement shared with Us Weekly, they stated that the couple’s relationship has been “shifting” over the “past many months” from romance to a focus on co-parenting.

“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect,” the reps added about the duo who share a 4-year-old daughter.

For now, it remains unclear what the co-parenting arrangement entails, particularly given Perry’s ongoing tour, which has kept her busy for months.

The statement from the stars’ reps comes after news first broke about Perry and Bloom ending their nearly decade-long romance.

At the time, it was reported that the split was “amicable,” even though things between them had been “tense for months.”

“It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,” a source said about Perry and Bloom, per US Weekly.

Throughout the tense months, the Hollywood stars were reportedly “spending more and more time apart,” according to a different insider.

The source also hinted at the reason for their split, saying, “They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore.”

While the public only recently learned about Perry and Bloom’s rough patch, a source claimed that their friends were well aware of the issues.

“It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,” said the insider. “Everyone around them knows.”

According to the source, Bloom had tried to keep his relationship issues with the singer “close to the vest.”

However, it became even more apparent as he was “out and about more often” without her while she was on her “Lifetimes Tour.”

They also claimed that the couple “never set a date for the wedding” despite being engaged since 2019.

Previous reports that swirled amid Perry and Bloom’s rough patch also suggested that the singer’s ongoing tour largely contributed to the breakup.

A source stated that it caused the “biggest disruption” to what she shared with Bloom, due to the extensive preparation, rehearsals, and travel that had gone into it.

“Katy and Orlando have been disconnected for a while now, and with their work commitments have been living separate lives,” the insider said at the time, per The Sun.

“They have barely been together for a decent amount of time, without distractions, for many, many months,” they added. “It has been ‘go, go, go’ and they thrived when they enjoyed a more settled life, being together in the same place for a length of time. But that has just not happened.”

PR Expert Says Orlando Bloom’s Split From Katy Perry Was ‘Well Timed’ For His Career

Bloom recently joined other celebrities, including Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian, at the luxurious wedding ceremony for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Venice.

At the event, the actor was seen mingling with various women and generally having a good time as a newly single man.

In a chat with the Daily Mail, PR expert Chad Teixeira said the split between the couple has been “incredibly well-timed” for Bloom, whether it happened “intentionally or coincidentally,” as it seemingly affords him the opportunity to launch a “soft rebrand” after being in the “Roar” singer’s “shadow” for years.

“The breakup has created a brand window for Orlando, and one that he’s stepping into with just the right amount of presence,” Teixeira claimed. “He’s not chasing the spotlight, but he’s not hiding either. That’s a savvy move in today’s fame economy, and it’ll stand him in better stead when Katy’s fame is disappearing more than ever.”
