Journey Guitarist Slams Bruce Springsteen as ‘Annoying, Bitter Old Man’ for Turning Concerts into Anti-Trump Political Rallies * The Gateway Pundit * by Cassandra MacDonald

Journey keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain took direct aim at Bruce Springsteen during a recent appearance on the “Complete Disaster Network” podcast, calling the singer and leftist activist an “annoying, bitter old man” for turning his concerts into political rallies against President Donald Trump.

Cain described himself as a “diehard conservative” who once identified as a Democrat and urged Springsteen to stop using the stage as a platform for political preaching.

“I used to be a Democrat back in the old days, but I just couldn’t go there anymore, you know?” Cain said.

“I’m a diehard conservative… And guys like Bruce Springsteen should shut up. You know, really, honestly, shut up, Bruce, you know? Him and who’s the other one? Robert DeNiro. I mean, who cares, guys? Do your art. I try to keep politics out of my music,” Cain said.

Cain said that he doesn’t like to hear either side preaching politics at concerts, but Springsteen’s statements have been particularly bad because it’s “kind of a diss to our country.”

“Now, people say, ‘Well, you’re a Christian, and you’re conservative,’ and I’m like, ‘So what?’ I don’t preach it on stage… I don’t spend 10 minutes, ya know, talking about it… And Bruce, I mean, what the heck? I used to like him, and now he’s just annoying. He’s an annoying, bitter old man. I mean, stop it. Really.”

Cain added, “You were born in the USA, weren’t you, dude? So act like it… But even that song, if you look at the lyrics, I mean, it’s a kind of a diss to our country.”

As The Gateway Pundit has extensively covered, the 76-year-old Springsteen used multiple stops on his tour to blast the Trump administration as “reckless and treasonous,” declare that America is living through “very dark times,” and claim American values are under unprecedented attack.

In one particularly fiery outburst, Springsteen delivered a profane six-minute anti-Trump meltdown at a Washington, D.C. concert, telling the crowd to “let them hear you at the f-cking White House!”

Springsteen has also dedicated performances to anti-ICE agitators who were killed while attempting to hinder immigration enforcement.
