Chiefs’ Reid sets one condition to attend Kelce’s wedding with Swift

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to get back to the playoffs after missing the postseason for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.

However, that’s not the only priority for Travis Kelce. The future Hall of Famer already has three Super Bowl rings, but he’s now looking to add a wedding ring to his jewelry cabinet.

Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift will tie the knot in one of the most high-profile social events of modern history. Of course, he wouldn’t get married without inviting Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Nevertheless, he’s only going to be there if he can still fit into his old tux.

Andy Reid won’t buy a new tux for Travis Kelce’s wedding

“If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” Reid said on 96.5 The Fan’s “The Drive.”

All jokes aside, the future Hall of Fame coach said he’d definitely be there to root for his player and his significant other.

“I’m not the show,” Reid said. “I’m just gonna show up — I’m so happy for them. When you really come down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them; they’re in love, and that’s the most important thing.”

There was plenty of speculation regarding Kelce’s future, but the Chiefs were always confident that he would return for at least another season. He’s already a future first-ballot Hall of Famer and doesn’t have anything else to prove at this point in his career.

Still, as a fierce competitor, he was never going to walk away from the game after a 6-11 season and a missed playoff berth. Now, as a married man, he’ll look to ride into the sunset on his own terms.
