The former couple has maintained a cordial relationship and have been sighted hanging out together, sparking speculations that they may be working on mending broken ties.

However, a source shut down the claims, saying there’s “no romantic reunion” between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, although they’re in a “good place.”

Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez is yet to start a new love story following the end of her previous one with Ben Affleck nearly a year ago.

The “Jenny From The Block” singer is seemingly not ready to change that yet, as a source told People  Magazine that she is focused on work and raising her family.

“It’s all about work and the kids for her,” the source said about Lopez, who shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. “She seems happy and content.”

Lopez got married to the “Argo” actor in an intimate wedding in July 2022, but filed for divorce in August 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

At the time, they sparked massive speculation about the nature of their now-failed marriage because they went months without being seen together in public.

Since their divorce, Lopez and Affleck have maintained a cordial relationship as they’ve been spotted out and about on several occasions.

Over the holidays, the pair went Christmas shopping alongside the Oscar winner’s son, Samuel.

They also ran into each other at a recent play their children, Emme and Fin, featured in, and have been spotted stepping out for dinner months ago.

More recently, the 53-year-old actor supported her as he attended the New York premiere of her new film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” where he gushed about her acting chops.

The frequent sighting sparked rumors that they’re getting back together, but a source close to the “I Ain’t Your Mama” singer has dispelled it.

“There’s no romantic reunion with Ben,” the source told People. “They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other. They’re both proud of what they accomplished together.”

The insider further added that Lopez was “doing well” and focusing “on things that make her happy – family and work.”

“She always enjoyed working with Ben; this hasn’t changed,” the source added.

Back in October, Lopez appeared on the “Howard Stern Show” and made some shocking comments about her exes, explaining that she doesn’t think she’d ever been truly loved.

On the show, the host Stern asked her if she’s ever “truly been loved,” to which she replied, “No.”

“What I learned it’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable. They don’t have it in them,” Lopez confessed, per The Blast. “They gave me what they had. They gave me all of it, every time. All the rings, all the things I could ever want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it.”

The “Maid In Manhattan” actress, who has been married four times in the past, went on to state she “didn’t love” herself in those relationships before confessing her last divorce from Affleck was “the best thing that ever happened to me.”

She noted, “Because it really made me journey into— I mean, I had a religious coach, I had a therapist, a couple’s therapist, an individual therapist, I had a coach to understand addiction. I had everything. I was like, ‘I’m gonna f-ckin’ figure this sh-t out if it kills me.'”

It remains to be seen if Lopez’s stance on being single will change anytime soon. However, she relished becoming single following her split from Affleck.

In an October 2024 conversation with InterviewMagazine, the actress said that she was looking forward to being single after being in “different challenging situations” over the years.

“Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own,” Lopez said at the time. “Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f-cking do when it’s just me flying on my own … what if I’m just free?”

Lopez is aware that she can change her relationship status whenever she wants, as she noted that she won’t have a problem meeting someone in the future. She, however, shared that it won’t be through the new age way of using dating apps because she is “old-fashioned.”
