Video footage of U.S. Central Command completing precision strikes further degrading Iranian military capabilities, released July 22, 2026. (U.S. Central Command video)

US Central Command announced on Wednesday that US forces completed a twelfth consecutive night of attacks to degrade Iranian military capabilities.

In footage released by CENTCOM, Iranian military vehicles and boats are seen being blown up in airstrikes.

    CENTCOM said in a statement,

At 10:30 p.m. ET on July 22, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed another round of strikes against Iran for the 12th consecutive night.
U.S. forces struck Iranian military targets including maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense assets. The strikes further degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels.
This month, American forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites on land while resuming a blockade against Iran at sea. As of today, CENTCOM has redirected nine commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent ships from entering or departing Iranian ports.
More than 50,000 U.S. service members are operating across the Middle East and remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready.

President Trump on Wednesday issued new warnings against Iran, threatening to hit one power plant or bridge for every ship they hit in the Strait of Hormuz after Iran attacked another tanker near the coast of Oman on Tuesday.

Iran threatened to retaliate against attacks on its infrastructure by targeting a “powerful and decisive response” against infrastructure and US interests across the region. “In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe, and the security of the strait is in the absence of American forces,” Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Bagher Ghalibaf threatened in a statement.

Additionally, Yenen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebel group began targeting shipping in the Red Sea on Wednesday after imposing a naval blockade on the Bab el-Mandeb strait, the gateway between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden near Saudi Arabia’s western coastline.

Trump previously responded to the Houthis’ threats a day earlier, telling reporters he’ll “take care of” the Houthis if they begin attacking ships.
