Uganda Closes Border with Congo Over Ebola Fears

Uganda closed its border with the Democratic Republic of Congo over growing concerns about the possible spread of Ebola on Wednesday. Seven confirmed cases have been reported in the Ugandan capital.

“The only exceptions are for authorized Ebola response teams, the humanitarian operations, food and cargo transportation and security.” “I feel like they should put bans on people coming in from those highly infectious areas. Why should someone coming from Congo still be coming unless if they have really, screened them and they have tested them and they have free? But at least they should still limit people coming in from those highly infectious areas.” “I am not scared about Ebola virus. Fast forward, it’s not the first time it’s happening. It’s happened before. We’ve seen other cases like Covid come before. But personally, I trust the Ministry of Health.”
