Two teams that make sense for Tyreek Hill

It’s been three weeks since the start of NFL free agency, and there has been little to no buzz around Tyreek Hill.

The former Miami Dolphins superstar should be ready to roll for the start of the upcoming season, yet there haven’t been many rumors about teams interested in his services.

Of course, that can always pick up, as teams are probably waiting until after the NFL Draft dust settles to make more moves.

However, of all the teams that could be interested in the former Super Bowl champion, only two make sense: the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Tyreek Hill should end up in the AFC West

Hill has flirted with a return to Missouri for a while now, and the Chiefs’ need for help and playmakers on offense makes that one pretty self-explanatory.

Former offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is back. Hill is familiar with Andy Reid’s system, and his chemistry with Patrick Mahomes has always been seamless. The fit is just too obvious to ignore, and they should have enough cash to get him.

As for the Chargers, he’d get a chance to reunite with coach Mike McDaniel, who’s their new offensive coordinator after coaching him in Miami. Hill was his best self under McDaniel’s guidance, and McDaniel knows how to use Hill better than anyone else.

Quentin Johnston hasn’t panned out, and Keenan Allen is aging and a free agent. Justin Herbert needs more weapons alongside Ladd McConkey, and Hill could bring some explosiveness to Jim Harbaugh’s run-heavy offense.

Hill may not be the game-wrecking playmaker he was in his prime, but he can still leave defensive backs in the dust and should draw more interest closer to training camp.
