During a festive Christmas Eve episode of “New Heights,” Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared a surprisingly down-to-earth detail about his relationship with Taylor Swift, and it involved bread.

The 36-year-old athlete revealed that one of the most appreciated gifts he’s ever given Swift, also 36, was a kitchen tool she now uses constantly while baking.

Speaking alongside his brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie, Travis said the present was a bread slicer.

Jason immediately quipped, “Oh, nice!” while Travis explained that the gift was inspired by Swift’s growing obsession with baking sourdough at home.

The Chiefs star joked: “I bought it because she’s been throwing together so much f-cking sourdough.”

Swift’s love for baking is well known among her inner circle. The singer regularly shares homemade loaves with friends and family.

Back in July, she surprised longtime friends Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco with fresh loaves to celebrate Gomez’s birthday.

Blanco later shared a photo of the gift, complete with a playful handwritten note that read, “It’s a loaf story,” referencing Swift’s early hit “Love Story,” per People Magazine.

Swift has previously spoken openly about her sourdough hobby. During an August episode of “New Heights,” the pop star joined the podcast and detailed the different flavors she’d been experimenting with, especially for Jason and Kylie’s kids.

“There’s a blueberry lemon, a cinnamon swirl, cinnamon raisin, and this one I’ve been workshopping for the girls because they love everything rainbow — Funfetti sourdough,” she said on the podcast.

Jason immediately reacted with amazement, predicting it would completely “blow their mind.”

Swift agreed, laughing as she explained that sprinkles are basically a staple whenever they all spend time together. “We put, you know, we put sprinkles in everything when we hang out,” she said.

She then admitted that bread has become an all-consuming passion, joking that sourdough now dominates most of her thoughts and conversations, to the point where she’s “talking about bread 60 percent of the time now.”

Away from the kitchen, Swift and Kelce are also reportedly taking a thoughtful, unhurried approach to wedding planning, choosing to move forward together without pressure or timelines hanging over them.

A source tells People that the couple is navigating the process as a true partnership, with both equally involved and excited.

According to the insider, “they’re approaching it as a partnership, talking things through together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them.”

The pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end began dating in September 2023 and later shared their engagement news with fans in August.

They announced it through a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26, using humor to mark the milestone. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they wrote, adding a dynamite emoji, a playful nod to their longtime “TNT” nickname.

Along with the announcement, the couple posted a series of photos capturing the proposal, which took place at Kelce’s home.

As for the wedding itself, Jason is more than happy to play a role, especially if that includes raising a glass or delivering a speech.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles center recently addressed the possibility of being involved during a December 19 appearance on “Good Morning America,” though he stopped short of confirming whether he would be delivering a best man speech.

“Time will tell if there is one or anything like that,” he said, per E!News, noting that he hasn’t received any details yet. For now, he’s simply open to supporting the couple in whatever way he can, adding that he’s just happy for them as they prepare for the next chapter.

Jason has previously admitted he’d love to stand by his brother’s side on the big day. During a September episode of the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast, he said he’s hoping to be chosen as best man, though he acknowledged that Travis has a wide circle of close friends, making the decision anything but simple.
