Happy 67th birthday to one-time NBA All-Star, two-time NBA champion and long-time league executive, Danny Ainge!

As a player, Ainge won NBA titles in 1983 as a role player and 1985 a mainstay in the Celtics starting lineups featuring franchise legends Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish. In his final full season with Boston, the BYU product made a league-high 148 three-pointers in 1987-88 before getting dealt to the Sacramento Kings near the 1989 trade deadline.

Ainge would spend time with the Kings, Suns and Trail Blazers before retiring after the 1994-95 season. After a brief head coaching stint with the Suns, Ainge tried his hand in the front office as the Boston Celtics executive director of Basketball Operations, where he served from 2003-2021 and won another in 2007-08. He now works as the CEO of Basketball Operations for the Utah Jazz.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the players to lead the NBA in made three-pointers since the 1979-80 can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
