The New York Knicks had about as perfect a season as an NBA team could hope for, winning not only the NBA Cup but also their first NBA title since 1973.
Now, they can add the ESPY for 2026 Best Team to their trophy cabinet.
“We appreciate you, ESPYs,” said Knicks veteran Karl-Anthony Towns.
“Getting this trophy shows the world love. The love of each other and this team is what got us through the humps when we weren’t playing our best basketball. The love from the fans is what got us back down 29 at home.”
Led by Jalen Brunson and KAT, the Knicks dominated their way through the Eastern Conference playoffs before getting revenge on the San Antonio Spurs for the franchise’s most recent NBA Finals loss in 1999.
