There isn’t a much better way for a pitcher to begin an MLB campaign than the way New York Yankees starter Max Fried has.
The 32 year old veteran followed up 6 1/3 shutout innings against the San Francisco Giants on Opening Day with seven more scoreless frames against the Seattle Mariners. Fried allowed just three hits with no walks and six strikeouts to a lineup boasting Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez and the combination of Brett Headrick and Tim Hill finished off New York’s third shutout win of the young season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. After leading all of Major League Baseball in wins with 19 last year in his first campaign as a Yankee, he’s off to a strong 2-0 start in 2026. With that being said, can you name the active MLB pitchers with the most wins?
