Taylor Frankie Paul‘s domestic violence incident reportedly resurfaced long before the controversial video.

According to sources, a contestant on “The Bachelorette” show had brought up the drama between Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, during filming.

The moment allegedly saw Taylor Frankie Paul losing her composure, a situation she might have hinted at in a previous Instagram post.

Although the new season of “The Bachelorette” has been canceled due to Taylor’s scandal, one of the male contestants on the show had been aware of her dark past. Sources claimed Casey Hux brought up the incident during a one-on-one date with Taylor.

One source claimed Taylor got very emotional, while another alleged that she was so upset she stormed off the set. Sources told TMZ that Hux had asked about the domestic violence incident because he was aware of Taylor’s arrest but not the viral video of what happened.

Hux reportedly wanted to know if Taylor had learned from the experience and how she had grown from her past self. Taylor had been arrested in 2023 for attacking her ex-boyfriend, with the controversy worsening due to fresh allegations of abuse from a February 2026 incident.

Did The TV Personality Downplay The Alleged Date Gone Wrong?

News of Taylor’s awful one-on-one date with Hux came over a week after she opened up about having a bad encounter with one of the contestants. She shared a video of herself repeatedly flipping the bird while listening to Lily Allen’s “F-ck You” song on March 12.

“Taylor, did he get to you? Me: No, he wishes,” the overlay text read. Taylor shed more light on what happened in the post’s caption, explaining that the video captured her mood moments after someone got to her on “The Bachelorette.”

Taylor claimed she did not care after the incident happened, but “producers were like ‘ohhh gotta get this…she clearly cares.’” At the time, the post generated positive responses from fans, with many being supportive. These comments have since been replaced by critics condemning her past actions.

Inside ‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Star’s Domestic Violence Incident

More details about the 2023 altercation between Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Mortensen, recently made waves thanks to TMZ. The outlet obtained police body camera footage from the incident, capturing the cops talking to Mortensen.

Mortensen accused Taylor of throwing a metal barstool at him, which he deflected, only for it to hit Taylor’s young daughter from a previous relationship. The girl had been seated on a couch in the living room, a few feet away from where the fight occurred.

Cops also asked Mortensen about Taylor’s claims that she had urinated herself because of him. However, he denied having anything to do with the incident. He insisted it happened because Taylor was too intoxicated to make it to the bathroom on their drive home.

The Reality TV Star Slammed The Resurfaced Video

The viral 2023 footage of Taylor’s domestic violence incident has been reshared on different social media platforms, sparking waves of backlash and debates. The Blast reported that Taylor recently reacted to the resurfaced video underneath a fan’s post on TikTok.

Taylor took a victim’s stance, stressing that she did not appreciate the controversy because of how it affected her children. “Worst part is my daughter having to relive and see it all over again years later, after extensive work with her and apologies to her about that night,” she lamented.

Additionally, Taylor noted that it was unfair to her son because the video resurfaced on his birthday and ruined what should have been a joyous occasion. Critics did not buy her tales of woe and slammed her for trying to gain sympathy through her children.

The aftermath of the domestic violence drama went beyond Taylor receiving hate online, as she temporarily lost custody of her son. The Blast covered the story, reporting that the child she shared with her ex-boyfriend was dragged into their issues.

Mortensen was given temporary custody of their son after filing a protective order against Taylor. She was ordered to stay 100 feet from her ex-boyfriend, including his home, and banned from seeing their son until the outcome of an April 7 hearing.

Additionally, Taylor was ordered not to own any weapons. Mortensen filed for a temporary protective order against his ex on March 18, detailing a terrifying incident where Taylor allegedly got violent in their son’s presence.
