    Starmer and Xi Meet to Reset Ties Between Britain and China

    Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain and President Xi Jinping of China met in Beijing on Thursday in a bid to reset ties as both countries seek a way around an increasingly volatile United States.

    As you have said, this is the first visit by a U.K. prime minister in eight years. To my mind, that’s been far too long. China is a vital player on the global stage, and it is vital that we build a more sophisticated relationship.

    Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain and President Xi Jinping of China met in Beijing on Thursday in a bid to reset ties as both countries seek a way around an increasingly volatile United States.
