Rams to propose rule change in offseason

It is rule-change proposal season in the NFL, and that usually involves teams trying to correct something that went against them during the previous season. It seems the Los Angeles Rams are going to be the team pushing for that this offseason.

Rams to propose rule change that would have negated pivotal two-point play

According to a report from CBS Sports on Saturday, the Rams are prepared to propose a series of rule changes this offseason that would have negated the bizarre two-point conversion play that helped swing their Week 16 overtime loss against the Seattle Seahawks.

There is no official wording on what exactly the Rams are going to propose, but given the nature of the play, it could involve anything from advancing a fumble on a two-point play to the amount of time that passes before a play can be reviewed.

With the Seahawks trailing 30-22 in the final minutes, they scored a touchdown and went for a game-tying two-point conversion. Initially, it looked like an incomplete pass from quarterback Sam Darnold to running back Zach Charbonnet. The ball fell to the ground, the whistle blew, and Charbonnet then picked up the ball in the end zone to hand it to the referee.
