Raiders’ Maxx Crosby responds directly to outraged Ravens fans

The Ravens agreed on March 6 to send two first-round picks to Las Vegas for Crosby. Four days later, Baltimore backed out, citing medical concerns about his recently repaired knee. They quickly pivoted, signing pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson to a four-year, $112 million deal.

On his podcast, he described the Ravens flying him to Washington D.C., rather than directly to Baltimore, before a two-hour drive to the facility.

He also said Ravens GM Eric DeCosta never met with him during the five hours he spent at the facility, and that head coach Jesse Minter’s energy felt noticeably off.

Many Ravens fans specifically disputed Crosby’s account of the visit, from the travel arrangements to DeCosta’s absence. That is what prompted his latest response.

Ravens fans who called Maxx Crosby a liar got a blunt answer

Crosby did not seem upset or offended by any of it. If anything, he found the situation genuinely funny. Since going public with his version of events, he has not walked back a single detail.

He addressed the fan accusations and described the backlash as something that only made him laugh harder.

“I’m f–king honest to a fault, I can’t even help myself,” Crosby said on The Rush. “Seeing s–t like that, it had me dying laughing. Now the Ravens fans are like, ‘F–k you.’ They’re sending me messages, ‘I hope you f–king end your career.’ I’m like, ‘Damn.'”

Crosby has pointed to his surgeon’s assessment throughout, saying Dr. Neal ElAttrache told him directly he would be fine and to keep working.

Maxx Crosby’s next move could silence the noise

The rejection from Baltimore may have stung initially, but Crosby appears to have moved on. His agent, CJ LaBoy, stated publicly that he remains on track and will be ready for the offseason program.

Raiders GM John Spytek has shown no intent to move Crosby at a discount. The two sides appear to be on stable terms for now. With the Raiders in a rebuild, a fully healthy Crosby returning to form changes how the rest of the league views Las Vegas.

His trade value, currently depressed by the Baltimore saga, could rise significantly if he performs the way he always has. That is a far more effective answer to his critics than anything he said on his podcast.
