Michael Rapaport stirred up trouble while inside “The Traitors” castle; however, he doesn’t seem willing to confront his critics head-on. During a recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Radio Andy” show, Rapaport, known for sparking chaos and controversy, confessed he might skip the upcoming reunion for the Peacock reality show after clashing with his co-stars, including “Bachelor” alum Colton Underwood.

In a short clip from Cohen’s radio show, the “Real Housewives” executive producer spoke with Rapaport about the upcoming season 4 reunion for “The Traitors.”

“Well, I wanted to give you an exclusive here because it’s you. Now, I don’t know if I’m gonna come to the reunion to be totally honest with you,” Rapaport said, to which Cohen replied, questioning why Rapaport wouldn’t attend.

“I don’t know. You know why, Andy? Because, you know, I feel like, you know, everybody got to know me. Like when people are like, you know, acting like I’m some freak, it’s offensive to me because we spent…” he said.

Michael Rapaport Branded ‘Homophobic’ Following Feud With Gay ‘Bachelor’ Star

Rapaport’s position on “The Traitors” reunion comes a week after the outspoken media personality generated headlines during his feud with “Bachelor” alum Underwood.

After sparring throughout the episode, things between the two bold contestants reached the point of no return when Rapaport said that “nobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you”—a statement many believed was in reference to Underwood’s coming-out story in April 2021.

Rapaport’s co-stars defended Underwood during the episode, banishing him from the game after scolding him for what they perceived as a personal dig at the “Coming Out Colton” star.

Viewers also blasted Rapaport online, labeling him “homophobic” for his words.

According to The Blast, Rapaport apologized to Underwood after the show wrapped for his hurtful comments. In a recent interview, he clarified the intent behind his words, adding they had “nothing to do” with Underwood’s sexuality.

“I thought that he was a Traitor, and I was riffing,” Rapaport said. “I was going at him because he was going at me, and I felt defensive, and I was doing my best to deflect all of the attention, which had been on me the previous four roundtables.”

Rapaport added that he was “annoyed” by Underwood’s tactics in the game.

“I was just flowing, I was just talking,” he said. “I was talking about him being conniving, cowardly, and commiserating. Those words are thrown around a lot during this game: lying, secrets, dishonest, deceitful, betrayal.”

That wasn’t all Rapaport had to say about the explosive showdown, noting he felt “completely misunderstood” and “gaslit” by his co-stars.

“I felt that they didn’t understand what I was saying. And I think that if the conversation had stuck to just me and Colton, it wouldn’t have gotten to the level that it got to, because I feel like I acknowledged it and apologized right there,” he said.

The “Prison Break” actor also admitted he regretted his comments.

“It obviously did offend him and some other people at the table, and it caused and brought negative attention to his world and his young family. It obviously brought negative attention to my life. It brought negative attention to the show, and it’s not what my intention was,” Rapaport said.

Underwood made headlines in April 2021 when he publicly came out as gay.

Shortly after coming out, the reality star starred in a Netflix docuseries about his identity, confessing he thought he was going to “die with this secret” of being gay.

In the production, Underwood also spoke about how much he struggled to process his inner thoughts, saying, “I didn’t want to be gay, and the main voices in my head were just telling me, ‘You’ll get through this, you’ll get through this.'”

In 2023, Underwood wed his husband, Jordan C. Brown-Underwood, a political strategist from California.

A year later, the pair welcomed their first child, son Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood, gushing about the “incredible experience” in an interview, according to PEOPLE.

On Instagram, Underwood shared a birthday post in honor of his son, writing, “In just twelve months, you’ve taught me more than I could have ever imagined…about patience, about slowing down, and most of all, about love.”
