During an interview with US Weekly in 2017, Collins revealed that her desire to start a family was what encouraged her to get help for her eating disorder.

“My reason to finally start talking about [my eating disorder] was the moment I realized I wanted a family. I wanted kids. I didn’t want this to be something I bring into that,” Lily explained.

Lily had been struggling with an eating disorder since she was a teenager, which was her way of feeling in control as she dealt with high school and relationships.

The actress also wanted to attain a particular body shape. However, Lily’s priorities changed as she grew older due to her desire for a family.
