Lane Kiffin shared his reaction via social media on Thursday to the Ole Miss Rebels losing to the Miami Hurricanes 31-27 in their College Football Playoff semifinal game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Kiffin shared a GIF of a cartoon heart breaking and added a blue heart to his post, representing the Ole Miss colors.

This was Ole Miss’ first time playing in the CFP, and it was the culmination of six hard years of work from Kiffin during his time in Oxford, Miss.

    And guess what?

Kiffin thought so little of the team he built that he left them ahead of the playoffs, feeling that LSU would give him a better chance of winning national championships.
