Jamil says being a feminist doesn’t mean she “has to be friends with every single woman,” adding that she can “actually beef” with them and “criticize” them.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively’s pal Taylor Swift‘s texts have also been revealed, showing the popstar criticizing Justin Baldoni and calling him a “b-tch.”

Jameela Jamil seems to be hitting back at critics who think her feminist credentials should be questioned after recently unsealed court documents showed that she used inflammatory words to describe Blake Lively amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

In the text exchange with Jennifer Abel, a publicist who represented her and Baldoni, Jamil took issue with the tone Lively used in press conferences for “It Ends With Us.”

“She’s a suicide bomber at this point.” Jamil wrote in part, per The Blast. “I’ve never seen such a bizarre villain act before.”

Although she didn’t name-drop the “Gossip Girl” actress, she has spoken up in her defense, saying being a feminist doesn’t mean she can’t call out women she wants to.

“Guys — guys — feminism means fighting for the political, social, and economic equity of women, for women. Just gender equity. It does not mean you have to like every single woman,” she said in a recent Instagram Stories video, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Love At First Sight” actress took things a notch higher to explain that her version of feminism means she can “actually beef with other women” and can even “criticize them” or do “whatever you want.”

“[Feminism] does not mean you have to be friends with every single woman, it means you can actually beef with other women,” she said.

Jamil continued, “You can criticize them, you can do whatever you want, as long as you are also fighting for their human right to the same things that men have in this world. That’s all feminism is. It’s a moral and political stance, it is not a sleepover where we braid each other’s pubes. Okay?”

“So if you are fighting for women’s rights but you don’t get along with every single woman, it doesn’t make you a bad feminist. You’re still a feminist; keep fighting for those rights and thank you for fighting for those rights,” Jamil added.

Blake Lively’s Pal Taylor Swift’s Texts Blasting Justin Baldoni Were Also Exposed

Meanwhile, Jamil isn’t the only celebrity whose text conversation about Lively and Baldoni’s situation has been released.

Lively’s longtime pal and popstar Taylor Swift has garnered backlash online after a recently released court document showed that she called Baldoni a “b-tch.”

Back in December 2024, the “Bad Blood” singer sent Lively a screenshot of an article where the actor claimed to have been sexually traumatized by an ex.

She wrote, “I think this b-tch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”

Lively responded by saying the article “rings different” when he doesn’t acknowledge how she had been shutting down his alleged sexual advances during their time on set.

During their chat, Lively shared her disbelief over Baldoni being honored at a women’s event, before she and Swift decried how predators feel like they will “always get away with it.”

Also in April 2023, Lively seemingly employed Swift’s help to pressure Baldoni as she asked the chart-topping singer to show excitement at her decision.

They then held a meeting at her New York penthouse, after which Lively simply couldn’t contain her joy.

“You were so epically heroic today… You making sh-t up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it,” the actress said.

Justin Baldoni Might Be Looking For A Way To Settle

Lively and Baldoni’s lawyers appeared in court on Thursday as they tried to figure out whether it was possible for them to settle without going to trial.

“This is a case about making a movie, one with highly charged romantic and sexual themes,” Baldoni’s lawyer, Jonathan Bach, said, per People Magazine. “The book called for sexy scenes.”

“It’s not enough to show that sex or sexuality found its way into the workplace,” Bach said. “Their burden is to show that it not only entered the workplace, but was used to discriminate against women.”

Lively’s lawyer, Esra Hudson, pushed back, saying behaviors are consistently “inappropriate and crossing boundaries.”
