Tuesday night in Dallas, Texas, turned into a basketball master class from four of the best players in the NBA.

It saw Dallas Mavericks stars Anthony Davis and Cooper Flagg trade blows with the superstar duo of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets. It was ultimately Dallas that came away with a 131-130 win on the back of its No. 1 overall pick from the 2025 NBA Draft.

Cooper Flagg had a career night

Flagg finished the game with 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Those points for Flagg were not his career high, but it could have very well been considered his best all-around game. His career-best 42 points came against the Utah Jazz in overtime and included 20 attempted free throws. Tuesday’s performance looked much different.

The 33 points from Flagg came on 14-of-21 shooting from the field. He attempted just one free throw, just the second time that’s happened this season. Flagg added four made three-pointers, a new career high in his rookie season.
