Pop star Britney Spears was reportedly not dating Paul Richard Soliz at the time of her DUI arrest. The “Toxic” singer was arrested last Wednesday on suspicion of driving under the influence. Although she is free pending a hearing on May 4, many are concerned that the pop star could face jail time as a result of her recent arrest. New details about the pop star’s life have continued to emerge in the days following her arrest, including a new report that indicates that the “Criminal” singer was single at the time of the arrest.

After her split from her third husband, Sam Asghari, the “Lucky” singer began an on-again-off-again relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Soliz, who had seemingly been dismissed from her staff due to his criminal background.

Sources told TMZ that the two split up a few months ago and have not been in contact at the time of her arrest. Insiders claim that the singer did not feel like a priority in their relationship, which led to the breakup.

The Iranian-American actor was recently doing press about the United States’ growing war with Iran when he was asked about Britney’s arrest.

“My focus has been on the Iran situation,” the actor said during an appearance on NewsNation. “As it goes [for] the past, I cannot skip the past. … I think everybody makes mistakes, and everybody deserves privacy.”

He added, “If we learn from history, we have to understand the press could hurt somebody recovering from a situation like this.”

The former couple met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. He was with her when the conservatorship ended in November 2021, and they tied the knot a few months later, in June 2022.

Unfortunately, their marriage did not last long. Fourteen months later, in August 2023, the former personal trainer filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split in court documents obtained by The Blast.

Sam Asghari was not the only one of Britney’s ex-husbands who commented on her arrest. Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, shared a brief statement with TMZ the day after Britney was arrested.

“Kevin hopes for the best for Britney and if help is necessary, he hopes that she will neither resist it or those who are attempting to work with her,” he said, adding, “The concern is whether this is just a one off or a one more.”

Britney and Kevin were married from 2004 to 2007 and share sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

A representative for the pop star told PEOPLE magazine in a statement that the arrest was “an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”

“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” the rep said. “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her,” the statement continued. “Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

Britney Spears’ First Husband Breaks Silence On Her DUI Case

As The Blast previously reported, her first husband, Jason Alexander, also released a statement following her arrest. “Everyone needs to slow down with the headlines about Britney Spears,” he wrote in a lengthy message.

He warned the public not to let “media narratives spiral out of control,” adding, “Rumors spread faster than facts, and suddenly someone is being judged before the truth is even clear.”

“Britney Spears deserves the same thing anyone else does: facts, fairness, and due process – not headlines built on speculation,” he wrote. “Let the facts come out before turning someone’s life into another media circus.”

Britney married her childhood friend in Las Vegas in January 2004, but the marriage was annulled just 55 hours later. She married Kevin Federline later that same year.
