One thing is clear, and that is, despite the new deal, there will be no new stunts from Bam Margera.

The actor spills the tea on his stance with fellow actor and stuntman Johnny Knoxville after agreeing to join the new “Jackass” project.

Bam Margera struggled with addiction and substance abuse, which led to him being kicked off the last movie. Upon returning to the franchise, though remaining skeptical, he agreed to have his stunt clips featured in the movie.

With the new “Jackass” movie in the making, fans wait with raised expectations to see new stunts from the actor. Margera clears the air, saying he would not be filming any new content for the movie.

Apparently, his scuffle with Knoxville and producer Jeff Tremaine has not entirely gone underwater. As it was revealed,  the trio had to see eye to eye before Margera joined the new project, but apparently, he is still pissed.

In a chat with TMZ at the Dream Hotel in Hollywood, the actor clarified that his appearance is going to be limited to old content that has never seen the light of day and does not involve him filming new content.

What Old Wounds Do The Stuntmen Have Between Them?

Margera and Knoxville’s beef stemmed from Margera’s firing from “Jackass Forever” in violation of a wellness agreement related to substance abuse. This then erupted into a public feud and a break in their relationship for a while.

Margera sued Knoxville, Paramount, and others for wrongful termination, even though he was in breach of the contract, but later dropped the lawsuit. He also criticized Knoxville and the “Jackass” team on social media and in interviews, claiming he was mistreated, sometimes challenging Knoxville to a fight.

Knoxville stepped back, stating that he did not want the drama but wished for his co-star’s recovery. Stunt performer Steve-O, who is also part of the franchise, has expressed his desire for all the “bros to get back together.”

The Professional Skateboarder Has Been On The Right Track To Recovery

Margera went behind bars for violating his probation amid other charges. He was released from jail in September 2024, and it was disclosed that he would embark on a short-term program at the Recovery Centers of America for Inpatient Treatment.

He went straight from jail to the Recovery center, as this helped with closing his probation case expeditiously. The Blast noted that his attorney disclosed that he had stayed on the right track for a year or more and passed all his drug screenings at the time.

His alcoholism and substance abuse got very serious as he almost lost the use of his legs due to drug abuse. Being a skateboarder, this greatly affected his career and his lifestyle in general.

The Stunt Expert Also Battled Custody Issues With His Ex

Margera’s 2024 was quite eventful as he had several run-ins with the law. Amid all his challenges, he got down with his ex, Nicole Boyd, over custody of his son Phoenix.

As shared by The Blast, the court ruled in his favor because the estranged couple were never married according to US statutes. They had a ceremony in Iceland, but never obtained a marriage licence in America.

The bitter custody battle ended in his favor, although Boyd expressed her intention to appeal the court’s decision. Currently, the pair co-parent Phoenix, who primarily stays with his mother.

For Margera, the third time of tying the knot was a charm. He got married to his current spouse, Dannii Marie, in 2024 in New Mexico.

In his wedding vows, the stunt expert said he couldn’t thank his wife enough, expressing how she helped him quit drinking and inspired him to get back to skateboarding.

Marie also took the extra step to remove people who had a negative influence on her husband. The Blast shared in a previous release how she changed his number and made a conscious effort to stay off their phone regularly.

She continues to support him to date, showing up in the courtroom even without support from their extended family.

Will Bam Margera ever let go of the beef with the “Jackass” crew?
