During a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed wide receiver DK Metcalf was a major draw in his decision to sign with the organization.
“He’s a big reason I’m in Pittsburgh,” Rodgers said (h/t NFL.com).
The duo could be one of the league’s best in 2025, but it has stiff competition.
Here are our top 10 NFL QB-WR duos entering the 2025 season.
1. Cincinnati Bengals
QB: Joe Burrow | WR: Ja’Marr Chase
Burrow posted career highs in multiple passing categories in 2024, including completion percentage (70.6%), touchdown passes (43) and yards (4,918).
Chase, a four-time Pro Bowler, is one of six wide receivers in NFL history to have at least 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first four seasons. Per Stathead, the others are his former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson (2020-23), Michael Thomas (2016-19), Mike Evans (2014-17), A.J. Green (2011-14) and Randy Moss (1998-2001).
2. Philadelphia Eagles
QB: Jalen Hurts | WR: A.J. Brown
The Super Bowl LIX-winning duo has been electric since the Eagles acquired Brown in a 2022 trade with the Tennessee Titans. Over the past three seasons, Brown’s 4,031 receiving yards are the league’s fourth most. Hurts, meanwhile, silenced remaining doubters after being named Super Bowl MVP following Philadelphia’s 40-22 demolition of the Kansas City Chiefs in February 2025.
3. Dallas Cowboys
QB: Dak Prescott | WR: CeeDee Lamb
The last time Prescott and Lamb played a full season together (2023), the Cowboys went 12-5 and Lamb led the league with 135 receptions.
Prescott is returning from a hamstring injury that limited him to eight games in 2024, but these players should quickly re-establish themselves as one of the game’s best pairings, particularly if offseason trade acquisition George Pickens frees Lamb for more one-on-one matchups.
4. Detroit Lions
QB: Jared Goff | WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown
Goff completed an impressive 72.4 percent of his pass attempts while guiding the Lions to a franchise-best 15-2 regular season in 2024. St. Brown continued being his favorite target and is one of two wideouts with at least 100 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past three seasons (Lamb is the other).
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
QB: Baker Mayfield | WR: Mike Evans
The Bucs were Mayfield’s fourth team in three seasons when he arrived in 2023, but he quickly formed a strong connection with Evans to keep Tampa Bay at the top of the NFC South. Since the start of the 2023 season, Evans is tied with Chase for the most receiving touchdowns (24), and he’s one season away from surpassing Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in league history. They are tied with 11.
6. Washington Commanders
QB: Jayden Daniels | WR: Terry McLaurin
Daniels, the 2024 Associated Press Rookie of the Year, and McLaurin were a formidable duo last season. The six-year veteran wideout had a career-high 13 touchdown receptions during the regular season and added three more in Washington’s three playoff games.
7. Baltimore Ravens
QB: Lamar Jackson | WR: Zay Flowers
Flowers became only Jackson’s second 1,000-yard receiver last season, the 2023 first-round pick’s second year in the league. As the duo enters Year 3 together, the best is likely still to come.
8. Houston Texans
QB: C.J. Stroud | WR: Nico Collins
If the Texans could protect Stroud, this pair might skyrocket up these rankings. Collins, a 2024 Pro Bowler, averaged 85.3 receiving yards per game from 2023-24, the league’s fifth most in that span, per Stathead. Stroud has led Houston to consecutive trips to the AFC divisional round and looks poised to be a franchise QB for the foreseeable future.
9. Los Angeles Rams
QB: Matthew Stafford | WR: Puka Nacua
Davante Adams might become Stafford’s favorite target this fall, but the veteran QB’s connection with Nacua can’t be understated. Last season, the 2023 Pro Bowl wideout had 990 receiving yards in 11 games, an average of 90 yards per game, an uptick from his historic rookie season, when he averaged 87.4 yards per game.
10. Los Angeles Chargers
QB: Justin Hebert | WR: Ladd McConkey
Last season, McConkey capped his 1,149-yard regular season by setting the playoff game record for rookie receiving yards with 197 yards on a nine receptions in the Chargers’ 32-12 wild-card loss to the Texans.
Herbert is one of the league’s more gifted passers, making this ascending duo one to watch in 2025 and beyond.
