John Harbaugh and the Giants just got a big boost of confidence

John Harbaugh and the New York Giants are making waves during the NFL offseason, and there’s plenty of excitement surrounding his move to the Big Apple. But, the proof will be in the pudding, as they say, when the Giants take the field in September and the team works to turn around the franchise.

There are already some early believers in Harbaugh. This isn’t a newbie, after all. Harbaugh brings 18 seasons of experience as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens with him to New York.

Heading into the new season, Aaron Schatz of ESPN has released his list of the league’s most likely turnarounds for 2026. The Giants make the cut for good reasons.

In the piece, Schatz labels the Giants the team with the No. 3 best chance at a comeback. He chalks it up to the team’s draft picks and overall team makeup.

“The Giants got to take two highly skilled players in the top 10 of the 2026 draft. They have wideout Malik Nabers, their best target on offense, coming back from a knee injury that cost him most of last season,” he notes in the piece.

“They’re also getting back running back Cam Skattebo, who was an exciting part of the offense until a midseason ankle injury. And they’ve added a good amount of veteran talent to improve the defense, including linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and linemen Shelby Harris and DJ Reader.”

So, it all comes down to talent. Something that Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen have done this offseason is bring in fresh talent, the right players for this team, and that will go a long way in the fall.
