Happy 40th birthday to 19-year NBA veteran, five-time NBA All-Star and 2024 champion, Al Horford!

Horford was taken third-overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2007 NBA Draft after winning back-to-back NCAA titles at Florida. He started 77 games in his first season as a professional, averaging 10.1 points and 9.7 rebounds-per-game en route to second-team All-Rookie honors. Horford would play the first nine seasons of his career in Atlanta, making four of his five All-Star teams while there. Despite his production, the Hawks won multiple playoff series just once during his time there and he joined the Boston Celtics ahead of the 2016 season.

He’d play for the Celtics for seven of the next nine seasons, finally reaching and winning the NBA Finals in 2023-24. Horford signed with the Golden State Warriors ahead of the 2025-26 season, but was limited to just 45 games in his 19th-career campaign. If he returns for 2026-27, he’ll be just the 13th player in NBA history to reach the 20-season milestone.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Horford is currently 10th amongst active NBA players in games played 1,183 contests under his belt. How many of the active players to appear in at least 900 NBA games can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
