Scottie Scheffler was not going to let an odd question from a reporter ruin his incredible Saturday at the 2026 Masters.

Scheffler fired a 7-under 65 in the third round of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., giving his chances of winning a green jacket this year a big boost. It was also his career-best round at the Masters, but a reporter still asked the world’s top-ranked player if his day could have been better.

“Scottie, that was a great round today. What do you feel like it could have or should have been?” asked the reporter.

The 29-year-old Scheffler did not try to sugarcoat his response, telling the reporter exactly how he felt about the question.

“Just a terrible question. Next question. Awful,” Scheffler said.
