Only one team makes sense for Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill’s tenure with the Miami Dolphins was a bit of a rollercoaster.

He was, undeniably, the most impactful wide receiver in the game at one point, but fell off a cliff almost immediately.

Of course, some of that wasn’t because of him, and he may still be the same guy who nearly eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark in 2023.

However, the only place he might be able to have such a big role is back home in Missouri. At this point, only a return to the Kansas City Chiefs makes sense.

The Chiefs need to sign Tyreek Hill to a one-year deal

The Chiefs need help for the passing game, so they need to do what they did when they took Hill with the No. 165 pick out of the University of West Alabama.

Head coach Andy Reid brought back former offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who’s expected to take the offense back from the ground after years of average play under Matt Nagy.

The Chiefs will also have Travis Kelce back on the field for one final season, but Hill’s return would be about much more than just nostalgia.

He’s coming off a major injury and hasn’t been as productive in the past couple of years, but he’s still the ultimate big-play specialist; he’s a one-drive play waiting to happen.

Hill’s chemistry with Mahomes is more than proven, and with all the uncertainty regarding Rashee Rice’s potential suspension or future, Xavier Worthy’s apparent lack of development and Marquise Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster hitting free agency, the Chiefs need to bet on Hill as much as he needs to prove that he’s still got it.

Per Football Reference, Hill hauled in 479 catches on 708 targets for 6,630 yards and 62 total touchdowns. He left as a three-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion. Now, it’s time to return and keep adding to that legacy while he’s still playing.
