Teyana Taylor only has great things to say about working with her “sister” Kim Kardashian. In a new interview, the singer and actress discussed what it was like to work with Kim on the Hulu legal drama “All’s Fair.” According to the “Long Time” artist, she’d previously had a relationship with the famous reality star, but being on the set of their scripted series together only brought them closer.

Taylor, who plays Milan, an aspiring lawyer and mentee to Kim’s character, Allura, said that it was “really good” working with the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star on the set of the Ryan Murphy-created series. As Taylor explained to PEOPLE, she and Kim already had a solid relationship before filming the show, likely through Kim’s ex-husband, Kanye West, but working together every day “really brought us closer.”

“We really went into the show friends and finished out the show as sisters,” Taylor added, revealing that the intimate time the pair had together was really “important” for them. “It was really good to get to go to work [with] her every single day,” she said. “And all of the ladies, we really, really, formed a sisterhood.”

While Taylor might’ve formed a closer bond with the rest of the cast, which includes Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, and Naomi Watts, that didn’t stop critics from bashing some of the women’s performances and the show’s storylines in their reviews.

According to The Blast, viewers roasted Kim specifically for her “stiff and mediocre” acting, then expressed regret that powerhouse actresses such as Close and Paulson signed on to the series. However, Kim took the critiques in stride, clapping back with a sarcastic post on Instagram.

“Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year?” she captioned the carousel of photos, which garnered support from some fans, one of whom wrote, “Troll them Kim because I’m literally sat waiting for episode 4 while haters gonna hate.”

In another report from The Blast, Kim opened up about her “All’s Fair” character, Allura, who is a sophisticated and especially powerful divorce attorney.

Kim explained that to channel her inner legal baddie, she drew inspiration from her family’s real-life lawyer, Laura Wasser. “We consulted with her. It was just so important to have someone that I could want to channel and want to feel. And that was Laura, who’s just like a bad-ss woman that takes care of other women,” she said.

The SKIMS founder also credited her co-stars, saying she learned much while working alongside them. “I learned a lot from them showing up and coming on set every single day and just seeing them work and seeing what they do. They are the best at what they do. That was the best lesson I could have learned,” she added.

And while she might play a lawyer on TV, the reality star and mother of four is still fighting to add “Esq.” to her name in real life.

As reported by The Blast, Kim has been trying to pass the California bar exam, one of the most difficult in the United States, for some time.

Her last attempt was in the summer of 2025, but she only recently learned she didn’t pass. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Falling short isn’t failure—it’s fuel,” she added before revealing how “close” she was to receiving good news this time around. “That only motivates me even more,” she said.

However, some fans weren’t moved by the A-lister’s post, as she previously admitted to using ChatGPT, an AI system, to help her study. “When I need to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there,” she said during a previous interview. “It has made me fail tests … all the time,” she added. “And then I’ll get mad and I’ll yell at it.”

Kim explained that she’ll go back and forth with the computer system, saying she doesn’t want the software to test her, but rather give her the answers she needs.

“But they need to do better because I’m leaning to them to really help me and she is teaching me a life lesson and then becoming my therapist to tell me why I need to believe in myself after they got the answer wrong,” she said. “It’s like a thing. I screenshot all the time and send it in my group chat. Like, can you believe this b-tch is talking to me like this? This is insane.”
