    The ‘Oldest 4,000-passing-yard seasons’ quiz

In one of the more shocking turns of the 2025 NFL season, the Indianapolis Colts are bringing quarterback Philip Rivers out of retirement after injuries have ravaged their QB room.

Starter Daniel Jones is out for the season with an Achilles injury, Anthony Richardson is still on injured reserve as he recovers from an orbital fracture and Riley Leonard – who came in for Jones in Week 14 – is dealing with a knee issue. Before signing Rivers, practice squad QB Brett Rypien was the only healthy quarterback in Indianapolis.

As a result, Rivers — who turned 44 years old on Monday, hasn’t played since 2020 and is 20 years and six months older than the Colts starting center — could see the field against the Seattle Seahawks.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Rivers’ most recent season came with the Colts, when he threw for 4,169 yards and 24 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. It was also the last time Indy made the playoffs. With that being said, can you name every NFL quarterback to throw for at least 4,000 yards in a season after turning 35 years old?

    Good luck!
