Cam Rising has been playing college football for a long time. He committed to Texas out of high school in 2018 but ultimately ended up at Utah.

He’s been a staple for Utah ever since and has been a part of some really big games. He’s also had some incredible moments.

The problem for Rising is that he’s dealt with plenty of injuries throughout his career.

In 2020, he started one game against USC before missing the rest of the season with a season-ending injury. He helped Utah win Pac-12 championships in 2021 and 2022,, but he missed all of 2023 with a knee injury and then played in only three games in 2024 because of a leg injury.

Rising still has a year of eligibility remaining because of redshirt seasons and the COVID-19 waiver seasons, but he announced on X on Wednesday that he’s deciding to give up his football dreams.
