First Lady Melania Trump doesn’t want Ivanka Trump attending the premiere of her documentary “Melania,” according to reports.

The film is set to debut later this month and will chronicle her perspective of the first 20 days leading up to Donald Trump‘s inauguration for a second presidential term.

Following its premiere, the doc will be released on Amazon’s Prime Video, the streaming giant Melania Trump is partnering with via her new production company, “Muse Films.”

Melania’s self-titled documentary is set to premiere on January 29 and is expected to draw a number of high-profile guests.

While names like Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sanchez, have been mentioned as potential attendees, sources have ruled out the possibility of Melania’s daughter-in-law, Ivanka Trump, being one of them.

According to an insider who spoke with Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, Melania has excluded Ivanka from the event, as she wants all of the attention for herself.

“Melania wants this night all to herself,” one source revealed. “When the spotlight’s this dim, no one’s sharing it.”

One other insider shared a similar remark about Melania’s alleged decision to bar Ivanka from the premiere.

“It’s Melania, front and center, no interruptions,” another source said. “She’s drawing a line. Ivanka knows her place.”

Although Ivanka may likely never address the snub, she reportedly feels hurt by it and has spoken about the situation to her friends.

A source claimed she said, “Of course it hurts, but I’m not surprised.”

News of the documentary’s premiere was first announced on Melania’s X page in November, where she also revealed plans to launch her own production company.

“PRESENTING: MUSE FILMS. My new production company,” she wrote at the time. “MELANIA, the film, exclusively in theaters worldwide on January 30th, 2026.”

The film is directed by Brett Ratner and marks the first project he has helmed since multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct in 2017.

Melania co-produced the documentary alongside Ratner and two other producers. The film is set to premiere at the Kennedy Center.

Following its debut, the project will stream on Amazon Prime as part of Melania’s reported $40 million deal with the streaming giant.

According to a logline for the film, it will chronicle the first 20 days leading up to her husband’s inauguration for a second presidential term, but told from the First Lady’s perspective.

This will include critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, as well as how Melania navigates the complexities of her family’s return to the White House.

In December, a trailer for the film was released and quickly sparked reactions from netizens over a moment showing Melania’s response to Trump’s second-term win.

In the scene, Melania is seen calling her husband, but appears to dismissively tell him that she did not watch the election victory announcement when Trump inquired about it.

“I did not. I will see it on the news,” the former model said, which led to several netizens making jokes about the 10-word comment.

One user remarked, “Trump- ‘did you watch it’ Melania – ‘I did not’ They are the meme of memes!”

“Can’t wait to miss it,” another netizen trolled the doc.

Ahead of the doc premiere, Trump was approached by reporters to give his take on his wife’s upcoming documentary, per The Independent.

He described it as “incredible” but admitted that he has yet to watch the whole film.

“I’ve seen pieces of it, it’s incredible … she did a book, and the book was a big number one bestseller, and this is a movie, and it seems to be captivating a lot of people’s attention,” he remarked.

Trump, who made the statement on board Air Force One on Sunday, also hinted that a lot of people were eager to attend the premiere, including Canadian former ice hockey player and head coach Wayne Gretzky and his wife, Janet.

“The premier [is going to be] at the Trump Kennedy Center, it will be very exciting. It’s a very hard ticket, I can tell you, everybody, Wayne Gretzky and his wife Janet … he said last night, ‘Gee, I wanna go,” Trump claimed.

“Everybody wants tickets to the premiere. I think it’s going to be great,” the president further remarked.
