With San Francisco 49ers franchise quarterback Brock Purdy possibly set to miss multiple weeks following their Week 1 win over Seattle, backup quarterback Mac Jones will get his third chance to prove he can start in the league. After being drafted 15th by the New England Patriots and getting thrown straight into the fire as a rookie, Jones made the Pro Bowl in 2021 with 3,801 passing yards and 22 touchdowns en route to a 10-7 record.

But he’s had a rough go of it since then, losing the starting job in New England and eventually getting traded to Jacksonville, where he spent a season backing up Trevor Lawrence. He played in 10 games and started seven, going 2-5 with eight touchdowns to eight picks. Unfortunately for Jones, he’ll take the field with limited options as George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk will also be out injured.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Jones is one of 77 quarterbacks selected in the first round of the NFL draft since 2000. How many of those quarterbacks can you name in eight minutes?

    Good luck!
