In a new video shared on X, formerly Twitter, the “Heartless” rapper blasted Frank Ocean, 37, for allegedly telling him not to support Trump’s presidential run in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.

According to Kanye West, 47, Ocean was out of line for trying to educate him about politics, especially considering their age gap. He also seemed to hint that he wasn’t interested in hearing from anyone in the music industry about political issues because he’s more “talented” than they are.

In a video shared on X, West laid into Ocean for allegedly advising him not to speak out in favor of Trump when he was running against Clinton in 2016.

“Frank Ocean p-ssy -ss come over my house talking about Trump all day and how I shouldn’t support Trump,” he said, which was first reported by Complex. “N—a fuck you know about politics and n—a I’m your motherf-cking senior, OG, y’all used to come on tour with me n—a.”

He continued, “None of these n—as as talented [as me]. I’m the greatest motherf-cking artist that ever existed. They can just be slightly better at one thing cause they do that one thing.”

Kanye West Attended A Trump Rally In Beverly Hills In 2025

West’s positive outlook on Trump hasn’t faded since 2016. In 2025, the “Stronger” performer attended one of the politician’s rallies in Beverly Hills, California, with his partner, Bianca Censori.

According to a previous report from The Blast, West was seen chatting with presumed Trump supporters from the window of his Tesla Cybertruck.

Despite Trump’s previous statements about him, including his comments that West was a “troubled man,” West eventually publicly renewed his support for the rapper during an earlier interview.

When asked if he was backing the former “Apprentice” host when the election rolled around in November 2024, West didn’t hesitate to answer.

“Yeah, of course, it’s Trump all day,” he said. “What you talking about? You know what it is.”

In March 2025, West made headlines after one of his X rants went viral. In his posts, the rapper, who once had a close relationship with Beyoncé and Jay-Z thanks to their many collaborations, surprisingly attacked their children with vicious accusations.

“WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCES YOUNGER KIDS(?)” he wrote. “THEYRE RETARDED NO LIKE LITERALLY AND THIS IS WHY ARTIFICIAL INSEMNATION IS SUCH A BLESSING HAVING RETARDED CHILDREN IS A CHOICE.”

Later, West deleted his posts, but he made more alarming comments when he said he believed Jay-Z would try to murder him for his remarks.

“I KNOW JAY Z IS DRIVING AROUND LIKE D-MN I HAVE TO K-LL KANYE,” he wrote. “I KNOW ITS GONNA HURT JAY Z TO K-LL ME BUT SOMEBODYS GOTTA DO IT.”

He also continued his pattern of sharing antisemitic statements, adding that he didn’t want “THE JEWS GETTING CREDIT FOR MY MURDER.”

“I ALSO DONT WANT JAY Z TO GET IN TROUBLE FOR K-LLING ME. MAYBE DRAKES SHOOTER TOP 5 CAN COME KILL ME,” he shared.

After West’s erratic social media updates, sources revealed that Kim and Beyoncé were having “crisis” calls about the rapper’s concerning behavior.

According to the insiders, Kim feels terrible about West’s comments, adding, “he crossed a line.”

“This is a huge crisis, and no matter how angry and disgusted [Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Kim] might be, there is still a sense of sadness that Kanye is on this path,” they said.

Beyoncé’s Family Responded To West’s ‘Stupid’ Posts

Although Beyoncé and Jay-Z haven’t spoken out about West’s inappropriate statements about their children, Bey’s parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles, did.

When speaking with an interviewer about West’s statements, Mathew, who once managed Bey as part of Destiny’s Child, said certain people in the music industry “pay a price for being stupid.”

Tina, on the other hand, didn’t directly address the situation; however, she seemed to hint at it in the anniversary post she shared in honor of Bey and Jay’s 17th wedding anniversary.

“True love rises above all [of] the bullsh-t,” she wrote. “Enjoy your day.”
