Keke Palmer is getting candid about her unexpected connection with “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans. Just a few months ago, Evans appeared on an episode of Palmer’s wildly popular podcast, “Baby, This is Keke Palmer,” and during their conversation, eagle-eyed fans noticed a bit of “professional flirting” between the two public figures. After that, they were spotted out to eat and hitting the town together. Today, Palmer has confirmed their romance and given fans a little bit more insight into how things are going.
While appearing on “Today with Janna & Sheinelle,” the “One of Them Days” actress opened up about the rumors swirling around her and Evans. For those who may be unfamiliar, the pair first turned heads when they shared a quick smooch during an episode of “Hot Ones,” and since then, the chatter has been nonstop.
After a recent episode of Palmer’s podcast, fans flooded the comment section to talk about their connection, and today, Palmer gave another update. “Our chemistry is genuine,” the 32-year-old said. “I couldn’t force that if I tried. We always felt that chemistry from the first time we did the show.”
Keke Palmer Wasn’t Ready For The Fan Reaction That Came Their Way
While the well wishes about their relationship have been pleasant for Palmer, she admitted to being a bit surprised by the overflow of reactions to their romance.
“I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off,” she joked. “I was like, ‘Guys, let it cook!’ They married your girl off in two seconds.”
After Evans’ June 2026 appearance on “Baby, This is Keke Palmer,” the pair were seen grabbing a bite to eat while out on the town.
“That was crazy,” Palmer said. “I mean, for us, it’s life. Essentially we met at work, and we had chem… It’s like work husband/work wife, and you just had that chemistry with people. Then we hang out, and for people to then… they write the story before you can live it.”
Fans Are Stopping Keke Palmer In The Airport To Ask Her About Her Relationship With Evans
The interest in her relationship with Evans is only continuing to grow. Later, during her conversation with Jenna and Sheinelle, Palmer said that fans are stopping her everywhere to ask her about Evans.
“I see somebody at the airport. I’m going through TSA, they’re like, ‘So, girl, what’s going on with you?’” the “True Jackson VP” alum said. “I’m like, ‘Girl, you gotta let time pass! This just happened yesterday.’ It’s this thing that’s so parasocial, the world we live in now.”
Since the world seems to be invested in her connection with Evans, Palmer admitted to scrolling through the comments to see what others have been saying about them. “I like to know what’s going on,” she said.
Palmer explained that she doesn’t let it “define” her, but keeping her ear to the streets helps ease her mind a bit. “If anything, I’m always trying to contextualize things,” she said.
Palmer Seems Giddy About Hanging Out With Evans!
This isn’t the first time Palmer has spoken about her romance with Evans. When she spoke with Jay Shetty back in June, the actress said that she and Evans were enjoying hanging out with each other.
“First of all, I love Sean Evans — I love Sean, hey Sean. That’s my guy. You never know what can arise from there. We just take it day by day. One wing at a time, so to speak,” she said.
In August 2024, Palmer spoke with PEOPLE about Evans’ revelation that he had a “crush” on her, saying she was “living for it.”
“Not to say that I was surprised or I wasn’t surprised,” she added, “But when I heard it, and people were sending it to me, I was like, ‘I knew the vibes were vibing.’”
Evans opened up about his feelings for the actress on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s “Chicken Shop Date,” saying he had a grand time with Palmer on his show.
