Steven McBee Jr.’s whirlwind romance with Allie Eklund is still unfolding on Bravo‘s “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys,” but their real-life relationship has already ended in a bitter public battle. The couple’s six-month romance imploded after a video from the Stagecoach music festival sparked allegations that Eklund cheated. She has strongly denied being unfaithful and accused McBee of verbally abusing her, while he later apologized for sending messages he described as “cruel and degrading.” Now, anonymous sources claim another reality star was responsible for filming the controversial footage.

McBee and Eklund started dating after meeting through a mutual friend and communicating on social media. They publicly confirmed their relationship in November 2025 when McBee shared a since-deleted series of Instagram photographs captioned, “Never been so certain.” Only two weeks into the romance, the 33-year-old Missouri cowboy said he was “probably gonna marry her.”

Their rapidly developing relationship became a central storyline on Season 3 of the family’s Bravo series. Cameras documented their first kiss, Eklund’s visit to Gallatin, Missouri, to meet the McBee family, and discussions about potentially relocating together to her home state of Texas.

McBee’s relatives nevertheless expressed concern about how “fast” the couple was moving. The romance unfolded as the family continued running McBee Farm & Cattle Co. while patriarch Steven McBee Sr. served a 24-month prison sentence for crop insurance fraud. By the time the season premiered in June, McBee Jr. and Eklund’s relationship had already fallen apart.

A Stagecoach Video Sparked Cheating Allegations

The couple attended the three-day Stagecoach music festival in California in April, but McBee left one day before Eklund. After his departure, footage emerged appearing to show Eklund dancing with another man. McBee posted a screenshot from the video and publicly accused his then-girlfriend of cheating.

In a since-deleted video, he alleged that she engaged in “handholding, grinding, dancing” with the unidentified man at an afterparty. Eklund denied being unfaithful and later posted her own footage from the festival, saying she had attended with “a group of long-term friends.”

An anonymous source told the Daily Mail that there was “nothing” in the footage that proved Eklund had cheated. “Were they together and was there flirtation? Sure. But she didn’t cheat,” the source claimed.

The publication has now reported that “Farmer Wants a Wife” alum Sydney Groom allegedly recorded the video. Groom has not been publicly confirmed as the person behind the camera.

Source Claims Sydney Groom Was ‘Jealous’ Of Allie Eklund

Groom was the runner-up during the first season of “Farmer Wants a Wife” and currently posts fashion and lifestyle content online. “Sydney claimed to have taken the video,” an anonymous source alleged.

“She’s jealous of Allie. She was boasting to people that she took the video. The motive is attention. She didn’t get far from her show and didn’t get that many followers,” the source added, contrasting Groom’s approximately 40,000 Instagram followers with Eklund’s following of nearly 450,000.

Another insider claimed Eklund had already established a lucrative influencing career before joining “The McBee Dynasty.” “Allie was a pretty big influencer prior to [The McBee Dynasty] and was making a lot of money and had great opportunities well before it,” the source said. “She’s a hustler with an entire team helping her get deals.”

The source claimed Eklund earns approximately $150,000 annually through affiliate links, in addition to brand partnerships and commissions through the shopping platform LTK. The insider estimated her overall annual income at between $300,000 and $400,000, while calling that range “probably a conservative estimate.”

Eklund and Groom reportedly “don’t have a relationship at all.” However, one source claimed Groom and McBee have interacted within the same social circles. “I’ve seen Steven and her talking and hanging out in social circles,” the insider alleged. “They don’t follow each other on social media, but they definitely know each other so that is interesting.”

Eklund Shares McBee’s Vicious Breakup Messages

Eklund accused McBee of having a “history of verbally abusing me while he’s in a heightened emotional state.” She explained that she initially avoided publicly responding to the cheating allegations because she “felt it was more appropriate to have a private, levelheaded conversation once emotions had settled.”

“Unfortunately, that opportunity wasn’t given to me before he decided to make this situation public, and it’s even more disappointing that he made references to promote his TV show, as this situation is very real for me and my family, who prefer to live privately,” she wrote.

Eklund described the experience as “painful” before declaring, “I’d like this to end here.”

Steven McBee’s Ex Speaks Out After His Degrading Texts Are Exposed

She also posted screenshots of explicit messages McBee allegedly sent her during their breakup. In the texts, McBee called Eklund a “sl-t,” “wh-re,” and “b-tch,” while accusing her of wanting “to be at every party hooking up with every guy possible.” One message ended by telling her to “have a good life f-cking sl-t.”

McBee’s former girlfriend, Calah Jackson, subsequently claimed that his behavior was not “new” or “circumstantial” but “unfortunately who he is.” Jackson described the messages as “just a small glimpse into what I experienced over the course of my three-year relationship with him.”

McBee later publicly apologized for the language he used toward Eklund. He described the messages as “cruel and degrading” and said he was “ashamed” of his behavior. “To anyone who has been on the receiving end of such words, I am truly sorry. I recognize that the criticism I am receiving is fair, and I am listening,” McBee wrote.
