The ‘Triple-Double leaders by team’ quiz

For years now, there has been noise around the Charlotte Hornets and whether or not they should move on from LaMelo Ball.

But he played more than 70 games for the first time since 2021-22 and with Kon Knueppel leading the NBA in made three-pointers – setting a rookie-record along the way – Charlotte looks like a franchise on the rise.

But on June 25, they agreed to a deal sending Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid and a haul of future draft picks.

Ball averaged 20.1 points, 7.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds-per-game as head coach Charles Lee limited the injury-prone guards minutes to 28-per-contest in an effort to keep him on the floor in more games. The strategy worked, and with Ball available for the vast majority of the season, the Hornets made a 25-win improvement and won a play-in game against the Miami Heat but were run out of the gym by the Orlando Magic with the final playoff spot at stake.

While adding Reid does address one of the Hornets offseason needs in a veteran big man with a bit of a mean streak, giving up Ball to get it will certainly raise some eyebrows.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Ball ends his tenure in the Queen City with the second-most three-pointers and holds the franchise triple-double record with 11 in his six-year career. With that being said, can you name the players with the most triple-doubles for each NBA franchise?

    Good luck!
