The rapper reportedly booked himself into the nearest health facility after noticing unusual symptoms regarding his physical health shortly after the celebrity boxing match in Las Vegas last weekend.
Ray J has disclosed in recent times that his heart is not in excellent condition due to the effects of some bad lifestyle choices he has made in the past, including alcoholism and drugs.
The entertainer reportedly took the initiative to check himself into a health facility two hours after the match went down. According to sources, medics have since begun running tests on the rapper, with hopes to get to the root of his health concerns.
Medical experts are reportedly now examining whether Ray suffered a concussion during the fight, as he also mentioned that he began experiencing complications involving an unusually slow heartbeat.
As stated by TMZ, the songwriter’s latest health scare follows earlier reports as the year began that he was reportedly hospitalized with pneumonia and heart-related issues.
The Rapper Bowed Out Of The Match With A Clean Knockout In The Second Round
Ray’s outing in Las Vegas on May 23 did little to prove his strength or experience as a ring fighter. The rapper could not take the heat from Supa Hot Fire as he crumbled under the weight of his punch in the second round of the Adin Ross UFC Apex Event.
Supa Hot Fire sent a clean punch in Ray’s direction around the 2:35 mark, leading to a loss in balance after which he stumbled into the ropes and landed on the canvas with a thud. The Blast shared that the referee immediately proceeded to declare the result a victory in Supa Hot Fire’s favor.
However, a displeased Ray had a few things to say after the bell rang, including the fact that the game was rigged and a lot of money went down the drain with the outcome of the match.
Ray J’s Boxing Match May Have Defied His Doctors’ Orders
The entertainer had revealed during an interview in January that doctors expressed doubts about how much more time he had left, hence the need to place him on a few drugs to help manage his health.
As shared by The Blast, Ray recalled that his list of drugs included cholesterol medication Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto, drugs often prescribed for people at high risk of heart failure.
He also noted that he was informed that he might be placed on a pacemaker or defibrillator, depending on the outcome of his next appointment. However, Ray was advised to have maximum rest while following his prescriptions religiously.
He was also warned to steer clear of drinks and smoke, although he confessed to finding these rules hard to follow, but staying alive as long as he can for the sake of his kids has become a priority.
In another post, the streamer expressed regret about his lifestyle in the past, admitting that he should have slowed things down a little on the fun side. He added that when he dies, he would love to be cremated and not buried.

As 2025 pulled to a close, Ray became embroiled in a domestic dispute involving his estranged wife, Princess Love. The actor was reportedly arrested after a tense dispute about their two kids on Thanksgiving Day.
As the exchange went on, Ray reportedly pulled out his gun on Princess Love, prompting her to call the cops, who came and ferried the rapper away from the scene. According to reports, the former couple disagreed over Princess Love opting to leave their child.
That was not all, Ray also picked an offense with his wife’s cousin husband staying inside his home, and his fans on Twitch were able to watch the chaos erupt in real time as the rapper was streaming at the time.
One month after his arrest, Ray shared a video of himself allegedly stranded in Tampa without food or shelter, noting that he was hoping to hitch a ride to Los Angeles while filming what he hoped could become a hitchhiking show.
Ray J And Princess Love Find A Common Ground Amid His Health Status Revelation
The actor and his estranged wife eventually pushed aside their differences. They headed to the San Fernando courthouse in Los Angeles in January to relax the protective order that prevented him from contacting Love and their children.
The new arrangement made provision for the rapper to have maximum unlimited contact with his kids after third parties testified in court that the rapper indeed misses his kids.
Love also agreed and noted that they have all been losing sleep about his health issues, and the time factor attached to the reveal has made it imperative for them to spend as much time with him as possible. The singer’s baby mama took back her initial statement that Ray posed a danger to the well-being of their two children.
Love and Ray’s marriage headed for the rocks in 2024 when she filed for divorce for the fourth time. She pushed for sole custody a year later, acknowledging that Ray’s unwarranted behavior had become frustrating and exhausting.
