Happy 23rd birthday to New York Giants quarterback, Jaxson Dart!
The Giants selected Dart with the 25th-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the expectation of eventually becoming the long-term starter while developing behind veterans like Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.
But after a bad start to the season for the Giants, then-head coach Brian Daboll decided to give Dart a shot as QB1 in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Dart went just 13-for-20 through the air for 111 yards, but didn’t turn the ball over and threw a touchdown to secure a victory in his first-ever NFL start.
He’d end up going 4-8 in 12 starts, throwing for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns with five interceptions while adding another 487 yards and nine scores on the ground. Heading into his second professional season, Dart will have to adjust to a new regime with John Harbaugh taking the job after 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
